what place did she qualify on vault??

Bella was such a freaking menace at this event. Scowling from the sidelines, inserting himself in coaches conversations, straight up intimidating athletes, breaking their focus on purpose and needlessly applying pressure that absolutely broke this Olympic cycle. Everyone of these gymnasts deserved better. Its really difficult to watch.

Just crazy how poorly constructed this routine is for competition. She could've had an easy 10.0 start value with this: Jump to straight handstand 1/2 mount (D) + Maloney (D) + Bail (D) + Bounce up to HB (A) Straight cast (B) + Toe-on (C) + Toe 1/1 (D) + Hop full (D) + Giant (B) + Double Tuck 1/1 (D) -- and that dismount could even just be a C-rated one outside of event finals

I don't care. I love her anyway.

If Vanessa did this uneven bar routine in the event finals in Sydney Khorkina could kiss her uneven bars gold medal goodbye. Vanessa was really capable of winning all 6 golds in Sydney, even uneven bars, as this video proves.

Her opening mount and dismount are gorgeous. Her wolf jumps are perfect. Not so many gymnasts can do a perfect one like hers. And her turns are the best. I've never seen her flinched on her turns. I'm quite sure she could have done triple turns perfectly if she had wanted to. She is one of my favorites of all time.❤

Any women in there 30’s have the VHS tape “ Americas Best volume 2) I watched it over and over and over and over and over again as a level 8 gymnast and a little 9 year old wanting to be just like her and Dominique Dawes

I really hate how tim and elif dragged this KID!!!!! SHE WAS NOT EVEN 18 AND THEY DRAGGED HER THROUGH THE MUD!!!!! ON NATIONAL TELEVISION!!!!!! HOPE KARMA CAME BACK TO THEM AND THEIR KIDS!!!!! Poor Vanessa! SHAME ON NBC FOR NOT HIRING BART CONNOR!!!! SUCH A GENTLEMAN! Tim and elfi were like that mean girl and gay guy in high school that become EVIL COWORKERS!

The songs are: "Aseară vântul bătea" (first part of the exercise) + "Ciuleandra" (second part of the exercise ), singer: Maria Tănase (The biggest singer of Romania .... She is considered "Edith Piaf" of Romania :D ) ;) ...Both songs are traditional romanian songs and are part of Romanian cultural heritage .... "Ciuleandra" is also a traditional romanian dance ... a nice reprezentation of the dance you can see it in the film with the same name "Ciuleandra" (on youtube you cand see the dance in the video: "Secvență din filmul „Ciuleandra” (1985)").

Gotta be tough to come in off a great season and to be at the biggest competition of the year, not at her best.

"Never did like seeing Shannon not qualify for the 2000 Olympics...she has always been my all time favorite,and although it's been 24 years,I still miss watching her perform! 3 Bronze,2 Sliver,and 2 Gold medals...FANTASTIC!!"💯👏👍♥️♥️♥️

What I do like about this last event is the judges really saw the passion and emotion in both Silivas and Bonskiyas routine and let them win, even though they may been a little bit weaker.they rewarded the expression.

Unfortunately she was injured but Mary Lee has since said Dominique had no chance in 2000(or ever I guess) after her past with the karolyi’s 🤦🏻‍♂️

I love many gymnasts from the Sub 1 & 2 including USA, France and Canadá but the TV coverage sucks!!!

Wasn’t ever going to be used on vault but could’ve added to the Olympic team on beam and bars possibly floor, beautiful gymnastics but inconsistent

No.al amy didn't wait to comeback she competed and 1999 world team trials with a broken foot which she had surgery for but amy never stopped training after Atlanta and Dawes literally competed at world cup in 98 and came back in Jan of 2000 and in months of training she made to trials here which is insane she was doing well with only 6months training

I remember thinking that her heart wasn't in this when she didn't go up on her toes for that pose after the double tuck jump (1:23).
